ADVICE THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

At your local Citizens Advice Bureau we can give you free and completely independent advice and information on a wide range of subjects, including employment and taxation.

"I was in a real panic," remembers one of our clients. "After I was laid off work with no warning, I went up to my ears in debt. With a young family, all the bills coming in at once and my son in trouble at school, I didn't know where to start. Someone suggested the local CAB and they were terrific. They stopped the Gas and Electricity being cut off while I was working out how to pay. They sorted out my housing benefit and put me on to someone at the social services. I've still got problems, but at least my head is above water."

Working together
Together we can work to sort out any debt worries and claim all the benefits you may be entitled to. We can advise on Legal matters, and help with housing problems, or deal with queries about consumer issues. We can answer questions about immigration, and we have lots of experience on family and personal matters too.

Practical help
As well as giving information and advice we can often give practical help, for instance with filling out forms. We can help in courts and at tribunals. The Bureau are often able to give advice in different languages and many Bureau are accessible to disabled people, and it may be possible to visit you at home.
